The industrial visit to Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Visakhapatnam

The industrial visit to Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Visakhapatnam, was a valuable learning experience for our II Year CSE – AI & ML and Data Science students. We gained insights into how STPI promotes IT exports, supports startups, and provides incubation facilities for innovative product-based companies. During the session, we understood the Open Challenge Process, where real-world industry problems are identified and innovative solutions are invited from students, startups, and developers. The experts explained how ideas are evaluated, mentored, developed into prototypes, and eventually funded or deployed. We also learned about the Idea Build-Up Process, which includes problem analysis, research, design, prototype development, testing, and scaling. The Rolling Model of development highlighted the importance of continuous integration, deployment, monitoring, and improvement. Overall, the visit helped us connect academic knowledge with practical industry applications and understand the innovation ecosystem in Visakhapatnam.
