Innovative Inventions at Avanti College Scientific Fest

A two-day national-level technical festival titled “Gyan 2K25” was grandly organized at Avanti Engineering College, Tagarapuvalasa, under the leadership of Avanti Educational Institutions Chairman and former Minister, Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao. The program was inaugurated by the chief guests with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

As part of the festival, students from various colleges showcased innovative projects developed by them. The exhibits attracted the attention of the chief guests and visitors alike. Students expressed happiness, stating that the atmosphere at Avanti College made them feel as if they were in their own home.

The chief guests remarked that many students who studied at Avanti College are now well-settled in reputed companies across several countries, emphasizing that the institution is not just a college but a foundation that shapes the future of youth.

Addressing the students, Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao said that no one is born great; greatness comes through hard work, perseverance, and facing challenges. He advised students to set ambitious goals and work steadily towards achieving them. He stressed the importance of understanding fundamental concepts from textbooks along with their practical applications, highlighting that practical knowledge is crucial for securing employment. He also emphasized the equal importance of laboratory experience along with classroom learning.

Approximately 3,100 students from various colleges participated in the festival and showcased around 102 projects. The chief guests interacted with students, enquiring about their projects and their practical applications.

The technical fest featured several events such as Technical Quiz, Project Expo, Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, Expert Talks, Circuit Solver, Code Tantra, and Fin-Bee, among others.

Guest Speakers & Messages

Guest Professor Shalivahan (Director, IIPE, Visakhapatnam) spoke about the importance of experimental skills and provided guidance on future career directions, urging students to continuously learn and stay updated with emerging technologies.

Konchada Kishore Kumar (Executive Council Member, Group Manager – CSR, BCMS, Infosys, Visakhapatnam) stated that Infosys aims to provide employment opportunities to students and that wide-ranging job opportunities will be available in the coming days. He advised students to acquire new technical skills in line with changing industry requirements.

Dr. Rituparna Dutta (Associate Director, Cognizant, Artificial Intelligence Lab, Bengaluru) emphasized the need for awareness and skill development in every domain. She said that conducting scientific festivals helps bring out students’ creativity and advised them to focus on employment-oriented preparation aligned with industry needs.

Ms. Rimjhim (Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science Engineering – Data Science, NIT Warangal) encouraged students to set clear goals and work continuously to achieve them with determination, stating that hard work leads to success in the chosen field. She advised students to focus on modern technological skills according to changing trends.

Brahma Kumaris Sister Mani spoke about the importance of discipline, positive thinking, and good conduct in shaping one’s future. She highlighted the benefits of yoga and meditation for mental peace and guided students through a meditation session.

Muttamsetti Priyanka (General Secretary, Avanti Group of Colleges) stated that the state government is focusing more on Quantum Computing, Deep Tech, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Research & Innovation, and Language Learning Models. She encouraged students to come up with new ideas daily and face global competition with confidence. She added that the scientific exhibits showcased the talent and potential of the students.

Chairman Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao announced that students who demonstrated outstanding performance in scientific exhibitions would be awarded cash prizes up to ₹2 lakhs along with certificates of appreciation.

The event was attended by Principal Dr. B. Murali Krishna, Director Dr. A. Chandrasekhar, Admin Director Vishwa Prasad, Convener Dr. R. Shashidhar, U. Ramu, Samuel Susan, along with heads of departments, faculty members, teaching and non-teaching staff.
